Seek first His kingdom...
Mt 6:33 ...seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well

...the Father is seeking those who will worship Him...
As Christians we are all
called to worship God, but more importantly, to be worshipers.
Worship
is far more than an event, i.e. people coming together to sing songs at church
- it's also about 'relationship' and 'lifestyle'.
In Romans 12:1 Paul says '..Offer
your bodies (whole lives) as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this
is your spiritual act of worship'.
And in John 4:23 it says '...The Father is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth'.
(Paraphrased)
'In spirit' means who we are inside: our heart, mind, personality - our very core and 'in truth' means holding nothing back; no pretence.
From these scriptures we can see that worship is our response, (both personal and corporate) to God for who He is and what He has done, expressed in and by what we say and the way we live our lives.
When we meet at KCC we aim that our worship be exuberant and alive.. We want it to be a continuation and an overflow of what God has already been doing in our lives in the week. But there are times when our worship to God is expressed in quite love songs. It is in these times of intimate worship that God often touches the very core of who we are and we are changed.
Our Style of Worship on a Sunday Morning
Our time of worship is normally led by a worship leader accompanied by guitar, and sometimes backed by other instruments such as base, keyboard and drums.
As well as being biblically based we would describe our style of worship as Charismatic. This means enthusiastic, spontaneous and also with the use of spiritual gifts (charismata= spiritual gifts).
Part of blessing God is that His body (the church) is also blessed and built up. This happens through words of encouragement, the laying on of hands for healing, and the use of spiritual gifts which are spoken of in the bible. (1 Corinthians 12, 13 & 14)
We allow the Holy Spirit to have freedom in our meetings; guiding and prompting us in what we say and do.
