We believe that belonging to the local Church is important. In the book of Acts we see that the Lord added daily to the church those who were being saved. It is vital that the Elders of the Church know who are the people God has given them to care for. A shepherd needs to know who his sheep are. We believe that those who want to be part of the Church make a public commitment to the Elders and the congregation of their desire to be joined to this local Church. We also believe that the Elders and congregation should respond by committing themselves to support and care for those individuals. Our commitment to each other is based on mutual respect and relationship not on a formal signing and filling in of a form. After a person has expressed a desire to be part of the Church and had a meeting with the Elders, we will welcome them publicly into the Church on a suitable Sunday morning. If you want to find out more about becoming part of Kings Community Church Basildon then contact David Evans or Clive Sharpe and they will arrange a time to come and see you. |
