The Alpha Course is series of 10 weekly sessions aimed at helping you to find out for yourself what Christians believe and whether it makes sense.

Each session lasts about two hours and includes a meal or some food. More than 7,000 churches in the UK are running Alpha which has been the subject of an ITV documentary hosted by Sir David Frost who described the course as "Big Brother meets the New Testament!"

Alpha topics include:

What is the point of life?
What relevance does Jesus have to our lives today?
How do we deal with guilt?
Why does God allow suffering?
